Kolagis is one of the oldest natural winemaking maranis (wineries) in Georgia, with a rich heritage in organic viticulture and natural winemaking. Founded in 1887 by Nika Jeiranashvili, the Jeiranashvili family has devoted generations to crafting exceptional natural wines using traditional methods in their century-old qvevris (traditional clay vessels).

Located in the village of Kolagi, within the Gurjaani micro-zone of Georgia's renowned Kakheti region, the Kolagis vineyards thrive at an altitude of 440 meters above sea level. The winery owns four small organic vineyards, totaling 2 hectares. All operations are performed manually, with no heavy machinery used, ensuring the utmost care and respect for the land.

Each wine variety at Kolagis is crafted exclusively from organic grapes sourced from a single vineyard, guaranteeing exceptional quality and a true expression of terroir. The winemaking process includes spontaneous fermentation on native yeast, typically with skin contact, maceration, and aging in qvevris from the founder’s time. Every wine is made with minimal intervention—free of additives, chemicals, or added sulfites—and is unfiltered and unfined, delivering the purest essence of the grape.

Kolagis produces a maximum of 5,000 bottles annually. This limited production includes traditional qvevri skin contact amber (orange) wine Rkatsiteli, red Saperavi, their blends, and pet nats made from these grape varieties. Additionally, the winery produces very limited quantities of Chinuri and Usakhelouri, adding to the uniqueness of its portfolio.
