According to the decision of the Natural Wine Association, the natural wine festival Amerimeri will be named after Soliko Tsaishvili starting in 2024. This year, the festival will be held on December 7 and will once again be hosted by the city of Tskaltubo, specifically at the Hotel Legends Tskaltubo Spa Resort.

For a long time now, Amerimeri has been a highlight in the annual calendar of natural wine lovers, eagerly anticipated by many. The festival has been held since 2017, and one of its initiators was Soliko Tsaishvili—a pioneer in the revival of natural and Qvevri winemaking in Georgia and one of the founders of the Natural Wine Association. He conceived the name, which embodies the idea that this festival should unite Maranis from all wine-growing regions of Georgia, showcasing wines from their unique micro-zones. Additionally, the festival is designed to travel and be held in different cities across Georgia. The first Amerimeri took place in Kutaisi, as there was no such festival in Western Georgia at that time.

Soliko Tsaishvili passed away in 2018 and could not witness the subsequent success of the festival. However, he envisioned Amerimeri becoming popular among natural wine enthusiasts.

Only member Maranis of the Association participate in the festival. The Association includes winegrowers who produce wines from organically cultivated grapes, adhering to the traditions and principles of natural winemaking. This means that vineyards are treated only with contact preparations, and even then, in limited doses. No herbicides or chemically produced synthetic mineral fertilizers are used. The use of selective yeasts, enzymes, flavoring agents, wine taste regulators, acids, grape molasses, and thousands of other industrial additives is prohibited during winemaking, storage, and bottling in the cellar.

In addition to wine enthusiasts, Amerimeri is traditionally attended by exporters, restaurateurs, wine experts, and journalists from both Georgia and various countries around the world. Participants have the opportunity to introduce their wines to these visitors.

The Amerimeri festival will be held on December 7 from 12:00 to 18:00 at the following address: Tskaltubo, Rustaveli St. #23, Hotel Legends Tskaltubo Spa Resort.

Ticket price: 20 GEL (includes festival catalog).
